I wrote this about somebody who I had a falling out with. I almost didn't include this song on the album, but I like it too much to not include it. The earliest version of this song was over 7 minutes long and opened with the sound effect of a beach. I'm not exactly sure why.
lyrics
I can still feel it on my face
The mist that surrounds the memories of you
Let the cold December come
Let me sing about it again to everyone
And I look outside and I still expect you to be out there waiting for me
Another day is lost
And I'm still waiting for you to come inside
I want to ask you something but I forgot just what the question was
Drained everything else I had
And I left what I needed here
But it was what I needed four years ago
And it only lasted for a week
What I wanted changed
And I have nothing left again
December used to be my favorite month
Now it'll fall into obscurity again
Maybe I will wait ten more months for something better to come along
And it will be like it was last time

An album in two parts; a coherent, optimistic first half, and a darker, depressing second half. This is the album that dreams and nightmares are made of, a plunge into the abyss with no way out. Tyler King
On their 10th record, the Glasgow-based group serves up more wonderfully menacing, gothy synthpop, perfect for dungeon dancing. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 19, 2023
Pretty, Lush-inspired dream pop has a gentle touch, with whispered spoken-sung French vocals drifting lightly over shimmering guitars. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 24, 2019
