This song is one of the last that I finished on the album. It contains some of my favorite lyrics I've ever written. The chainsaw-sounding thing that goes throughout the song is a bass that was run through way too many distortion effects.
lyrics
They severed what they needed to
Now give it back
Hold on to the carcass dripping blood in your hands
As they stare in wonder as it screams
And stares back at them
Twitch
Smile
Move again
Lick your lips and wait
Sew the hair to the scalp and smile
Look at what it is
Watch as the skin drags behind it's legs
And gets caught in the door
And splits open again
If it can smile it's still alive
If I can smile I'm still alive
Drip
Clot
Move again
Your fingers seek my own
The brain bleeds knowledge onto the floor
And the spine breaks open
The skin tears open and they take what it holds
And pass it along
And breathe it in
Squirm
Bleed
Cry out
Let the needle pierce the skin

An album in two parts; a coherent, optimistic first half, and a darker, depressing second half. This is the album that dreams and nightmares are made of, a plunge into the abyss with no way out. Tyler King
On their 10th record, the Glasgow-based group serves up more wonderfully menacing, gothy synthpop, perfect for dungeon dancing. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 19, 2023
Pretty, Lush-inspired dream pop has a gentle touch, with whispered spoken-sung French vocals drifting lightly over shimmering guitars. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 24, 2019
