Originally this song was only called "Progression," but I took some lyrics that I'd written in April 2008 called "Plug" and felt like they went well with the song. The guitar part was performed by myself and Chris Broyles.

lyrics
Whatever's on her mind has her smiling
And that's enough to make me smile back
Perhaps it's the note I sent
The letter she received
That has her in such a good mood
And we smile and laugh
And play the game over and over again
As the days turn to nights
And the stars shine above...
Whatever's on my mind has me smiling
And that's enough to make her smile back
Perhaps it's the fact I can't
Smile as much as I used to
And now we're both in good moods
And the summer comes
And the years pass
And I'm able to make her smile every day
And that's enough for me

An album in two parts; a coherent, optimistic first half, and a darker, depressing second half. This is the album that dreams and nightmares are made of, a plunge into the abyss with no way out. Tyler King
