The first song that I started working on for the album, and the last one I finished. This song sounds like what I originally had in my head when I began recording the album, but then the songs took on a life of their own and started going other places. In the end, I'm glad that I let them.
lyrics
I know what it was that you said to me
You think there's something wrong with the way I think
But you're wrong, it's just you
Look in the mirror, it won't be that kind this time
The painted face and the walls crash down
Just like they did the time you left this town
You'd never come back, is what you said
Well look again
I'm outside your window waiting
Look outside your window, I'm waiting
The lonely stretch of land that leads me home
The journey that I had to take alone
And into the night I heard you send
I swore to myself this wouldn't happen again
Off of the edge of the world is where I found my home
For the last time and the first time
I swear it was the same
The lonely stretch of land that leads me home
The journey that I had to take alone
The descent is always the hardest part
The chapter of the journey that I take to heart
But this time I won't be on my own
No, I have you and I'm taking you down with me
Come on. Come on down.

An album in two parts; a coherent, optimistic first half, and a darker, depressing second half. This is the album that dreams and nightmares are made of, a plunge into the abyss with no way out. Tyler King
On their 10th record, the Glasgow-based group serves up more wonderfully menacing, gothy synthpop, perfect for dungeon dancing. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 19, 2023
Pretty, Lush-inspired dream pop has a gentle touch, with whispered spoken-sung French vocals drifting lightly over shimmering guitars. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 24, 2019
